Philipp & Jeanine’s New Long Bay Home
Located in Auckland’s stunning Long Bay, Philipp & Jeanine’s new build blends a complex structure more commonly found in the commercial sector with finishing and detail of the most demanding residential standard. The exposed finished concrete, which features throughout the building’s interior and exterior, demands workmanship of the highest quality as there is zero room for error.
In the absence of an architect and only an engineer to design the base structure, Steadfast took on an active role in the design elements of the project, and with a client keen to push the boundaries of conventional construction, it produced some exception results. Matt is boyishly proud of his floating stair design and is thrilled to finally have put it into action!
Consistent with the way we like to build things, Philipp & Jeanine were actively involved throughout the process, it was a pleasure to work with them and we couldn’t be more delighted with the result!
Philipp & Jeanine’s home was awarded Silver at the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards in August 2018. The Steadfast team couldn’t have completed such an innovative home without the craftsmanship, dedication and skills of the team and subbies involved.
