Josh & Stacey’s Modern Country Home
Josh & Stacey’s brief to Steadfast was to build a modern, comfortable, country style home that would stand out from the rest. Steadfast designed and constructed a cost effective board and batten home, that includes high-end features and finishings.
One of the greatest challenges working on this project was the black stained board and batten up against a clear stained T&G Cedar soffit. If the two should have ever met, the cedar would have been stained for eternity and completely ruined the desired striking contrast.
To eliminate any potential for this to occur, we developed a methodical construction process that ensured all sub-trades were acutely aware of the sequence of construction. The result is a flawless finish to one of the show pieces of the home.
Ultimately this project demonstrates the results that can be achieved when client and builder work together in a collaborative way. We’re proud of how hard we were able to make Josh & Stace’s budget work for them, and the quality of detailing exhibited whilst delivering to a tight construction programme.
