The Patel’s, High Road

The Patel’s were after a home that could accommodate their extended family of 12. To achieve this they needed a builder who could make their ambitious 540sqm addition and large-scale alteration a reality.

With a requirement to remain in the home throughout the construction process, we devised a staging strategy that firstly ensured the site was safe and minimised disruption. Stage one included building the two level, 5 bedroom extension, while stage two involved renovating and adding two bedrooms, two kitchens and a garage to the existing dwelling.

Added to this complex process was the technically demanding nature of the project itself. The innovative façade treatment required us to form vertical cedar cladding around a curved wall, which is a first in New Zealand.

The Patel’s chose Steadfast because we were passionate, energetic and willing to put in the hard yards for this complex project. Whilst it presented challenges, the end result is immensely satisfying for both the client and the project team.

The most important aspect to us of the build was quality. Steadfast have produced a result far beyond what we or even the architect thought would be achieved.
