Located in a spectacular bush setting on Auckland’s north-west boundary, Duncan & Bridget had big plans for their unique site.

Having had previous experience with a group-housing provider, Duncan & Bridget were looking for a builder who could tailor their approach to suit their project. A shared appreciation of detail formed a strong client-builder relationship and is reflected in the finished product through elements such as the flush finished doors. These details add to the feeling of quality throughout the home and provide a seamless connection to the outdoors. Other elements within the home, including the black cedar cladding, exposed polished concrete and full commercial stainless steel kitchen all demanded a considered approach.

Originally planned at 350m2, we worked with the client and the design team to find efficiencies in the design and reduce the total floor area to a more cost-effective 310m2. An incredibly steep driveway, shared with numerous neighbours, made site access challenging. To combat this, we carefully programmed deliveries to ensure disruption and onsite delays were kept to a minimum.

Matt and Josh communicated with us well and managed each step along the way with ease. Any issues we had throughout were resolved quickly and efficiently. The team took pride in their work, were enthusiastic and seemed to really enjoy building our house. Bridget, Client
